OUR GLOBAL HUMANITARIAN EXPERTSAre committed to building sustainable solutions to the world's toughest humanitarian disasters

How it all started

Humanitarian Assistance Program (HAP) was established as a community-driven program, created out of the need to provide support to the Rohingya refugee crisis that started in August 2017. The program’s objective was to work with the community to find long-term solutions for the newly arrived refugees while focusing on sustainable community development.

The goal was to make the project 90% sustainable in Bangladesh and to remove the need for foreign funding. One of the major objectives of the project is to build the capacity of Bangladesh so that it can adequately address major disasters stemming from political or natural events and to build the resilience of the next generation so that they can handle and address major problems through an approach based on humanitarian values.

Originally the Humanitarian Assistance Program was under the framework of OBAT Helpers, but recently has branched off as an independent for-profit social enterprise.
